With the rising cases of omicron and provincial lockdowns, you can sense the sadness and confusion amongst the population. When I go for my morning walks, I have seen 50% less people outside since the lockdown and a general shift in people’s moods. I then thought to myself, we are all going through the same thing, yet we are doing it alone. During this difficult time, it is important that we prioritize our mental health and well-being before we spiral down a dark path and become unmotivated. All of us are going through this pandemic so why not overcome it together.


Over the next few weeks I challenge you to incorporate daily tasks into your schedule that make you move and happy. Whether that’s go for a morning walk, buy yourself a nice cup of coffee or call a friend share it on social media by using the hashtag #omicronwellnesschallenge and tagging @balancedfactor.

We are social human beings and are made to interact with one another. Let's connect and inspire each other to stay positive during this hard time and take care of ourselves.
